International Courses

 

The Technikum Wien Academy offers international courses for students, who want to get prepared for studies in Austria at UAS Technikum Wien, which is Austrias largest purely technical University of Applied Sciences. UAS Technikum Wien owns a manifold portfolio of bachelor’s and master’s programs in the following fields

  • Communication Technologies & Electronic Engineering
  • Information Technologies & Business Solutions
  • Engineering & Environmental Technologies
  • Life Science Technologies

All programs are based on a solid theoretical foundation, while also being application-oriented.

The Pre College Program (briefly PCP) and the Pre College Program Extended (briefly PCP ex) offer the possibility for international students to acquire necessary entrance requirements and competences to apply for Bachelor studies at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien or other Austrian universities according to their admission requirements.

During 2 semesters, the PCP efficiently prepares students with some prior German-language skills for a course of studies in Austria, increasing their technical knowledge to first-semester level, boosting their German-language skills to level B2, and assisting them to ease into the learning and working culture at an Austrian university. An extended version is also offered for students without any German knowledge, which takes place 4 semesters.

Knowledge is transferred through a combination of theory and application in an active learning environment. Acquired knowledge is solidified using practical examples. Independence and critical thinking skills among the students are promoted through the ongoing reflection upon what has been learned.
